About the role
- The Advance Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) - Wound Healing will provide patient care services for wound care patients throughout the continuum of care.
- Evaluate interventions in relationship to desired outcomes, including quality improvement and care coordination
- Correlate risk factors associated with wound conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose patient wounds and develop and revise treatment plans in accordance with Healogics' protocols to meet patient needs
- Perform treatment procedures that can be performed within a clinic setting or outside of the operating room
- Collaborate with other members of the MDHCT to formulate teaching plans for wound care treatment modalities for the patient, and / or their significant others
Requirements
- Required: Masters of Science degree in nursing or equivalent.
- Required: 3-5 years in wound, vascular, or complex patient care management at an RN level
- Required: Valid State of Wisconsin RN and Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) license.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 3 months of appointment.
