About the role
- The Power and Signal Distribution Systems (PSDS) consist of Low & High Voltage Wire Harnesses/Cables interfacing with electrical devices throughout the vehicle.
- PSDS also consists of a variety of sub-components (i.e., coax, LVDS/USB and ethernet cables, clips, coverings, connectors, etc ).
- It is a DRE position within Mechatronics & Sensing Hardware Team.
Responsibilities
- The Power and Signal Distribution Systems (PSDS) DRE is responsible for the design, validation, and release of the harnesses/cables for vehicle programs.
- Lead the design, validation, and execution of assigned wire harness and cable assemblies, including all sub-components.
- Support all virtual and physical build events
- Interface with Lead DRE and Technical Specialists on design direction
- Leads discussions with program teams on design and execution in leadership forums
- Ensures all test documentation is completed by v alidation, d ocumentation, c omplete s milestone and completes validation action plan or 3660 in support of launch.
- Partner with the Simplicity Hardware Engineers as program changes are managed to drive harness PN simplification to meet or exceed PSDS targets

Requirements
- Travels as required

- At least 2 years of experience in PSDS or Vehicle Wire Harness Design or related fields.
