Responsibilities

  • Performs nursing assessment as indicated on EIDT children.
  • Maintains documentation of current immunization records and/or waiver forms on each child.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.

Requirements

  • Monitors for potential abuse or neglect situations and follows the required DHS reporting guidelines for any suspected issues.
  • Must be able to work with children birth to age 18 and families who are at risk.

  • In conjunction with the Senior Director and regional leadership, the Registered Nurse oversees the medical aspect and needs at the site level of the Developmental Preschool program by doing the following:
  • Monitor all aspects of health and safety.
  • C omplete initial and annual training on issues regarding the health and safety of our children (beneficiaries) enrolled, including daily care/emergency care.
  • Is available for all health-related needs of the center, including sicknesses, accidents, and incidents.
  • Requests medical records from doctors and facilities as needed

  • Maintains preschool specific medical supplies.
  • Is available to parents for health-related questions and/or concerns.
  • Assists with new hire orientation relating to health and safety issues.
  • Provides relevant health and safety training to staff as needed.
  • Conducts reviews of the preschool to ensure that health related Arkansas Childcare Licensing and EIDT requirements are being followed.
