About the role
- Next Generation, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented System / Business Analyst with experience supporting procurement, financial operations, contract management, and vendor engagement activities within a technology-driven environment.
- Coordinate with IT leadership, project teams, procurement personnel, and vendors to resolve purchasing and contract-related issues.
- Assist with vendor engagement activities and contract lifecycle tracking through ServiceNow Asset and Contract Management.
Responsibilities
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume workloads accurately and independently.
- Monitor active software licensing, maintenance, support, and service agreements to ensure timely renewals and uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain accurate contract records and support compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.
- Deliver timely financial, procurement, and operational metrics to management.
- Process requisitions and purchase orders to support consulting and contractor engagements.
- Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and analytical summaries.
- Support data collection, validation, and reporting activities related to technology spending and vendor performance.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with cloud consumption and billing models including:
- AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with SaaS subscription management, software licensing, and vendor cost optimization.
- Ability to convert complex financial and procurement data into clear business insights.
- Proven ability to work effectively with IT, Finance, Procurement, HR, and external vendors.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and evolving business needs.
- 1-3+ years of experience supporting procurement, financial analysis, budgeting, contract administration, or business operations.
Nice to have
- IT Financial Management (ITFM) Understanding of CapEx and OpEx budgeting concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud consumption and billing models including: AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with SaaS subscription management, software licensing, and vendor cost optimization.
- Budgeting & Financial Planning Experience performing variance analysis and financial forecasting.
- Ability to track actual expenditures against approved budgets.
- Experience identifying budget risks, spending anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Data Storytelling: Ability to convert complex financial and procurement data into clear business insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with IT, Finance, Procurement, HR, and external vendors.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when reviewing invoices, contracts, budget reports, and procurement documentation.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels.
Compensation
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, accrual, and financial reconciliation activities.
Benefits
- Competitive Consultant hourly rate range based on experience and education of approximately $45 to $55 an hour
