About the role
- Harvey's Finance Engineering team is the investment-side counterpart to our Legal Engineering team: former investment professionals who bring real deal experience to Harvey's prospects and customers.
- They translate real investment work into Harvey solutions, serving as the trust layer across the entire customer lifecycle, from the first pilot to the most complex, custom-built workflow.
- Finance Engineers work on Harvey Deals, a new product built off of Harvey's acquisition of Benchmark.
Responsibilities
- Forward Deployed Finance Engineers on the buyout team are former deal professionals who left the investment side to help build the future of how deals get done.
- It continues post-close into portfolio monitoring, add-on pipeline tracking, and valuation support, so value compounds after the first deal.
- Strong command of the documents and data that drive a buyout decision - CIM and management presentation, QoE and data pack, banker and operating models, LBO, purchase agreement and financing terms - and an instinct for where the numbers and the paper disagree.
- Executive presence and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility from analysts and associates through to partners and investment committee members.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills - comfortable leading a live demo, facilitating a workshop, or holding your own in a technical conversation about an underwriting assumption.
Requirements
- Investment banking or transaction advisory experience before the buyside is welcome, but principal-side deal execution is required.
Nice to have
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling, comfort with prompting and agentic AI workflows, and a builder's instinct for turning a repeated manual process into a repeatable automation.
Compensation
- OTE $254,600 - $350,000 USD (75/25 Split)
