About the role
- Western Home Communities is seeking an experienced, organized, and compassionate RN leader to join our team as a Nurse Mentor at our Ackley location.
- The Village of Ackley currently provides a full range of services to older adults in Ackley and surrounding communities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and manage infection control practices; educate team members on proper precautions

Nice to have
- Fri/Sat/Sun 8 hour shifts, working any shift preferred (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) OR
- Sat/Sun 12 hour shifts, working any shift preferred
- Familiarity with MDS process
- Completion of the Iowa mandatory supervisory course (or willingness to complete within 6 months)
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Preferred: Familiarity with MDS process
- Preferred: Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (or willingness to obtain)
Skills
- Graduate of a state board-approved Registered Nurse (RN) program
- Current Iowa RN license in good standing
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
