About the role
- Note: This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds - flexibility and collaboration.
- In office days are 3 days per week (including a Monday or Friday), in our St Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.
- This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Creates detailed business requirements for functional (e.g., business processes, rules) and non-functional (e.g., data, security) capabilities.
- Provides support for application development teams, including documenting business processes.
- May take a leading role in developing estimates and implementation plans for technical solutions.
- Works with User Experience / Design resources to help visualize requirements into prototype.
- Validates test cases to ensure that scripts will evaluate the business function being performed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's: Business Administration, Bachelor's: Computer and Information Science, High School (HS) (Required)
- May be required to act as project lead on small to medium projects and/or provide direction to others on the team.
- The candidate will gain subject matter expertise and demonstrate the ability to integrate domain knowledge with an understanding of financial services standards and practices.
Nice to have
- Experience with reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., SSRS, Tableau) is preferred.
Skills
- More than eight (8) years of relevant technical business analysis or technical analysis experience is highly preferred.
- Financial Services experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Corporate Actions, Trade Clearance and Settlement, and Income Processing is strongly desired.
- Extensive hands-on experience testing IT applications is required, in addition to knowledge of general software testing methodologies.
- Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid software development methodologies.
- Project planning and tracking.
- Experience in working with IT and business stakeholders at various levels is required.
- Experience in gathering business requirements is required.
- Experience with data analysis/data mapping and the ability to query relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server) is required.
- Hands-on experience testing web applications and file-based batch processing.
- Experience in leveraging AI to assist in daily job functions is highly preferred.
- Experience with Mainframe / HP NonStop / SIS Back Office is preferred.
