About the role
- Coordinate the planning, implementation, and assessment of New Student Orientation, transfer student transition programs, and Week of Welcome initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-campus efforts to ensure successful onboarding experiences for new and returning students.
- Living-Learning Communities and Residential Engagement
Responsibilities
- Develop programs and resources that promote student connection, belonging, and academic success during critical transition periods.
- Assess program effectiveness and implement continuous improvements to enhance student engagement and retention.
- Oversee the recognition, support, training, and development of student organizations and student leaders.
- Advise and support student organization officers and advisors in the effective operation of campus organizations.
- Develop and implement leadership training opportunities designed to promote student growth, civic engagement, and community responsibility.
- Collaborate with the Dean of Students Office to uphold community standards and institutional policies.
- Develop and maintain assessment plans for Student Life programs and initiatives.
- Utilize data-informed decision-making to enhance student experiences, improve retention efforts, and support institutional priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience with orientation and transition programs.
- Experience facilitating student conduct hearings or conduct processes.
- Experience supervising professional and student staff.
- Knowledge of student development theory, retention strategies, and best practices in civic engagement.
- Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs, student engagement, residence life, orientation, leadership development, or related areas.

- Support the development, implementation, and assessment of living-learning programs that promote student success, belonging, leadership development, and community engagement.
- Partner with the Dean of Students Office, Residential Education & Housing, Public Safety, Title IX, Counseling, and other campus stakeholders to develop and implement educational and prevention initiatives.
- Coordinate programs and campaigns focused on wellness, community standards, bystander intervention, safety, responsible decision-making, belonging, and student success.
- Support educational sanctioning practices that promote student learning, accountability, and personal development.
