Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction operations and manage inspection staff on active transportation projects.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate construction progress, risks, and project updates.
  • We deliver impactful water/wastewater, transportation, and public works projects for clients including NYCDDC, NYCDEP, and the Port Authority of NY & NJ.
  • With offices in New York City, Princeton, Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, we combine technical expertise, a commitment to quality, and strong client partnerships to deliver innovative solutions and build resilient communities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of construction inspection and construction management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of NYSDOT specifications, contract administration, and construction documentation.
  • Experience with roadway, bridge, drainage, utility, and traffic control projects.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

  • Previous Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer experience on NYSDOT projects, preferably within Region 8.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York strongly preferred.

Compensation

  • The anticipated compensation range for this position is $85/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
