About the role
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to produce quality parts
- Operate finishing equipment including Blanchard grinders and other departmental equipment as needed.
- Monitor grinding operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure part quality
Responsibilities
- As a Finishing Department Level II Team Member, you will operate and support finishing equipment to produce high-quality components that meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Report quality issues and support troubleshooting efforts with team members and team leads
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and maintain a clean work area
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret prints and specifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push/pull heavy loads using carts, hoists, or lift assist equipment
- Set up machines, secure parts, and adjust settings to meet required tolerances
Nice to have
- Experience with grinding equipment (Blanchard preferred)
- Forklift experience preferred but not required
Skills
- High level of initiative and willingness to learn new skills
