Responsibilities

  • Champion KIPP TX core values and build a community of team and family members dedicated to achievement and collaborative spaces of opportunity.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a school leadership team of Assistant Principals of Instructions, Assistant Principal of Operations, and other leadership staff.
  • Hire, supervise, coach, and retain instructional, and support staff at all levels across the schools.
  • Partner with state-wide departments to implement financial, operations, and talent systems and processes.
  • Partner with KIPP TX's Academic department and Head of Schools to translate KIPP TX's academic strategy to drive towards school improvement and student academic success.
  • Develop staff's capacity to internalize high quality instructional materials, including grade level standards, curriculum, assessments, and lessons.
  • Champion emerging bilinguals, students with IEPs and 504s to receive exceptional services and supports, in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years Assistant Principal or equivalent school-level leadership experience with a record of results of leading students to significant academic growth (required)
  • 2 years of teaching experience (required)
