Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, analyzing account activity, and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Analyze revenues, expenses, labor costs, and other financial data to identify trends and support operational and financial objectives.
  • Monitor accounting activity and internal controls to support accurate financial reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with departmental leaders to provide financial information, answer questions, and support informed business decisions.
  • Participate in special projects, financial analyses, and process improvement initiatives that support departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance in alignment with company standards and operational needs.
  • Embrace flexibility by performing other duties as assigned in support of business operations and financial objectives.

Requirements

  • At least two years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or related experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting audit activities and maintaining financial records and documentation preferred.

  • Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications.

  • Compile, analyze, and interpret information used in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
  • Research accounting issues and recommend appropriate resolutions in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Review balance sheet accounts and reconcile outstanding items in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate audit requests by gathering documentation, researching inquiries, and supporting internal and external audit activities.
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency and recommend appropriate enhancements.
