About the role
- This is a hands-on skunkworks role, part robotics engineer, part controls engineer, part startup builder. Key Responsibilities Design and build a prototype propellant 3D printer (extrusion or hybridsystem) Develop motion control systems (multi-axis gantry or robotic arm) Implement extrusion systems for high-viscosity, particle-loaded materials Write control software (Python/C++/embedded) for: Motion control;Deposition control; Process monitoring Integrate sensors (pressure, temperature, flow rate, vision systems) Develop closed-loop control for material flow and deposition quality Collaborate with chemist to match material to hardware capabilities Ensure system safety for energetic material handling
