About the role
- Recruit, interview, and onboard hourly and salaried employees for machining and manufacturing positions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to supervisors and managers on employee relations, coaching, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Administer performance management processes and assist with employee development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Partner with manufacturing leaders to provide day-to-day HR support across all shifts.
- Support staffing needs for a 24-hour operation, including occasional flexibility to meet with second and third shift employees.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Develop and facilitate employee orientation and training programs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce metrics to support business decisions.
- To be the trusted technical leader and first-choice strategic outsourcing partner in the development and manufacturing of complex surgical products for leading orthopedic companies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 6 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Previous HR experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting CNC machining, metal fabrication, or industrial production.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience handling employee relations investigations and conflict resolution.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment, and be comfortable supporting a 24/7 operation.
- Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
Nice to have
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience supporting high-volume hourly recruiting.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and timekeeping systems.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
- Experience supporting a 24-hour manufacturing operation with multiple shifts.
- Demonstrated success working in a non-union manufacturing environment.
