Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with software engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to extract accurate technical detail and drive timely review cycles, including setting deadlines and driving stakeholder alignment.
  • Lead documentation work tied to major platform and product initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of technical writing experience, with a strong portfolio of developer-facing or data infrastructure documentation.
  • Writing samples required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and make sound content decisions without close supervision.
  • Experience with or strong interest in content architecture, structured authoring, and emerging documentation platform tooling.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency with docs-as-code workflows: Git/GitHub, Markdown, and static site generators.

Nice to have

  • familiarity with how documentation is consumed by AI systems (llms.txt, RAG-friendly chunking, MCP, AI-search visibility), or hands-on experience using LLMs in a content workflow (drafting, evaluating output quality).
  • basic scripting/automation exposure (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Where could this role be based?

Skills
