Advanced Maintenance and Repairs: Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repair work on engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
Perform root-cause analysis for recurring mechanical problems and relay this confidently and purposefully to supervisors.
Support and Leadership: Assist Fleet Technician IIs and supervisors with major repairs and fleet-wide projects.
Collaborate with the fleet team to ensure efficient workflow and task prioritization.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities in fleet management systems.
Properly Document all repairs and parts used into fleet management software.
Perform inspections to ensure vehicles comply with DOT, OSHA, and environmental standards.
Perform additional tasks assigned to support fleet operations.
Effective communication and mentoring skills to support team collaboration.

KEY COMPETENCIES Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, schematics, and service manuals.
3-5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.
Experience with hydraulic systems and electronic diagnostics.
REQUIRED & DESIRED EXPERIENCE Required: High school diploma or GED.

Technical certifications or vocational training.
ASE certifications (or equivalent).
CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
Comfortable working in tight spaces, under vehicles, and in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
Work is performed in a maintenance shop and outdoor environments.
Exposure to noise, odors, and hazardous materials.
Schedule may include occasional overtime, emergency repairs, or weekend shifts.

Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electronic control modules (ECMs), and related electronic systems.
