Responsibilities
- Serve as legal lead on commercial matters and assist the Commercial team in all major areas of negotiating and executing project offtake and related hedging agreements
- including assessing offtake structure, drafting and reviewing agreements and ancillary documents, confirming terms are financeable, establishing hedge structures as needed, and ensuring that transactions comply with corporate policies and precedent standards
- Serve as legal lead on signed commercial agreements for Development, Execution, and Asset Management teams to ensure compliance with obligations
- Facilitate legal support for cross-functional teams as needed
- Oversee and manage external counsel on commercial matters
- Identify and succinctly communicate material risks and proposed solutions to Aypa's General Counsel and other executives and team leads

Requirements
- The ability to work in the United States is a requirement
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency;
Nice to have
- We have been at the forefront of energy storage development since our first energy storage project came online in 2018.
- Experience with master electric trading contracts (EEI), ISDAs, and other hedging structures preferred;
- Additional experience supporting utility-scale battery storage development, construction, financing and/or operations preferred;
Compensation
- A base salary commensurate with experience.
