About the role

Responsibilities

  • Summary In addition to the responsibilities listed below, the HVAC Controls Engineer I is responsible for the overall success of software design, program creation, and the implementation of procedures and standards used in the programming of controls projects.
  • The role will primarily involve programming of HVAC and utilities plant sequences using building automation controllers and languages.

Nice to have

  • Breakdown scope of work into manageable segments and communicate to Project Manager / Engineering Manager for scheduling.
  • Creating and routing project programming specific "Request for Information" (RFI) documentation to Systems Engineer, Project Manager, and Engineering Manager.
  • Following sequence of operations as required by project documents and develop engineered sequence of operations and commissioning documents, utilizing established standards.
  • Startup and commissioning of large systems, such as AHUs, chiller plants, or other utilities systems.
  • Includes installation/configuration of workstations, servers, and network.
  • Software programming of HVAC/utilities sequence of operations, installation, and commissioning.
  • Engineering degree from accredited college or university.
  • Degree can be offset by minimum 2 years of industry experience.

Compensation

  • DOE: $73,000-$100,000 USD yrly
