About the role
- We are hiring a Founding Product Designer to define how customers experience Clark.
- Our users need to understand what the system is doing, why it's doing it, and where their judgment matters.
- The Founding Product Designer will help define how customers experience Clark, ensuring our products are not only powerful but approachable, transparent, and delightful to use.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive end-to-end product experiences across Clark's core platform
- Own the design process from discovery and wireframes through high-fidelity mockups and production-ready specifications
- Create intuitive workflows for AI-powered audit and accounting products
- Build and evolve Clark's design system, interaction patterns, and visual language
- Design for clarity, trust, accessibility, and usability across complex enterprise workflows
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure a high-quality implementation of product designs
- Help establish design best practices and raise the quality bar across the organization
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product thinking, interaction design, and visual design
- Expert in Figma and modern product design workflows
- Clark is building software for professionals performing high-trust work.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing modern software products
- Experience designing complex web applications or enterprise software
- Strong systems thinking and ability to simplify complex user workflows
- High ownership with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
- Experience designing AI-native or agentic products
- Experience designing for highly regulated or trust-sensitive industries
- Experience conducting customer research and usability testing
- Experience at an early-stage startup
