About the role

  • As an Instructional Coach for Virtual Campus, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our Virtual Campus classes.
  • In this role, you will help hire, train, coach, and evaluate our instructors, while maintaining a small teaching load yourself.
  • While our primary focus has been math for most of our history, through the years we have expanded our unique problem solving curriculum into more subjects, such as language arts, science, and computer science.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and delivery of professional development opportunities for instructors.
  • Help develop activities and instructional approaches that increase engagement and allow students to do the heavy lifting.
  • Culture: Work and collaborate with an organization filled with builders and life-long learners who strive to discover, inspire, and train the great problem solvers of the next generation

Nice to have

  • Solid academic background in mathematics
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a STEM field, with advanced degree preferred
  • Highly skilled and experienced in teaching math at the K-12 levels, including experience teaching via video conferencing software
  • Experience teaching AoPS Academy Virtual Campus classes strongly preferred
  • Experience training, coaching, and mentoring teachers preferred
  • Creative and efficient in solving instructional problems

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $65k-$85K DOE
