About the role

  • CPPI is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of education construction projects, including K-12 and higher education.
  • This position is responsible for managing all phases of a project, from preconstruction planning through final completion, while maintaining budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and overall project execution.
  • Partner with field leadership to develop site logistics plans, phasing strategies, and construction sequencing for occupied campuses.
  • Direct preconstruction activities, including estimating support, scope reviews, value engineering, and subcontractor procurement.
  • Manage change orders, contract modifications, and resolve issues to minimize project impacts.
  • Implement corrective action plans when schedule or budget concerns arise.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones align with academic calendars and occupancy requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support future opportunities and repeat business.
  • Mentor and support the growth of Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of project and company objectives.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience working with public-sector clients, including school districts, colleges, and universities.
  • Proficiency with project management, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting software.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
