About the role
- Mentor youth and provide opportunities for growth and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Assist with developing engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for students to prepare them for transition into adulthood.
- Work with individuals to develop Independent Living Plans.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners.
Requirements
- Prior experience in instruction and training for youth with disabilities
- Must have a valid driver's license and car insurance with reliable personal transportation.
- Background check and drug screening required.
- Maintain all required documentation.
- BA or BS in Education, Special Education, or Social Services
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- organization and prioritization skills
- Proficient with using video conferencing services.
- Prefer strong knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), 504 plans, and the Individualized Education Program (IEP), and the transition process for youth.
- Understand the Independent Living Philosophy.

- This position is part-time (22.5 to 25 hours per week without benefits).
- Compensation is $20 - $22 per hour.
- Mileage reimbursement for travel in Southwestern Ohio.
- Assist youth with disabilities in reaching and maintaining their highest level of independence through individualized skills training.
