- The Demolition Manager will be responsible for the entire demolition project process, including preplanning, study completions, permitting, managing the bid process, and overseeing the execution in the field to ensure all Vistra responsibilities are met on schedule during the demolition.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the Vistra demolition projects from start to finish, including pre-permitting studies, permitting, job bidding, budgets, schedules, and direct contractor oversight in the field.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors and the operations team at site (if applicable)
- Manage and negotiate all change orders to remain within budget
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years' experience in budget and schedule management
Nice to have
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed and maintained
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables for any scope of work not included in the demolition contract
- Interpret and understand the main demolition contract and technical information to work with main contractor through contract completion
- Report work progress and budget matters to management via standard processes and procedures
- Work with demolition contractor to understand schedule and justify percent complete
- Understand and approve monthly invoices from the demolition contractor for payment.
- Communicate with executive management using weekly and monthly reports
- Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems and coordinate with management and site to answer any RFI's from the contractor
