About the role
- Participate in the remediation of identified defects with Operations and Correspondent Sellers. - Monitor the progress of implementation of action plans based on Quality Control findings and results.
- Monitor QC project pipelines and analyze reports to ensure deadlines are met. - Analyze various reports and data to identify patterns of deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate post-closing quality control results reported by third party diligence firms. Participate in the remediation of identified defects with Operations and Correspondent Sellers.
- Review and manage pipelines to ensure timely resolutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience in Underwriting Review, Mortgage Quality Control or similar field.
- Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending, including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and VA guidelines and Federal regulatory guidelines and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of fraud detection.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Compensation
- Hourly range for new hires is generally $40.45 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
