About the role
- The ideal candidate will have strong technical and communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned production area within the Delaware Basin, with an emphasis on new and existing horizontal wells producing on gas lift, ESP, and rod pump.
- Coordinate with the field operations teams to optimize base production and reduce downtime. Spend time in the field on a weekly basis.
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot artificial lift systems including gas lift, ESP, rod pump, jet pump and plunger lift.
- Manage and optimize chemical programs treating scale, corrosion, H2S, etc.
- Create AFE's and procedures for new drill flowbacks, workovers, recompletions, and well maintenance operations.
- Lead regularly scheduled well reviews with field operations and reservoir engineers.
- Analyze well failures to formulate and implement recommendations for optimization and run-time improvement.
- Coordinate with the field operations teams to optimize base production and reduce downtime.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Production Engineering role.
- Demonstrated experience with horizontal well production in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated work experience in the areas of artificial lift, production, workover operations and project economics.
- Proficiency with PC based programs, specifically Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) and Spotfire.
- Must be willing and able to work in-office in Midland, TX.

- Experience utilizing production industry engineering software packages such as: P2 Carte, Well View, Inspatial, Rod Star, and other nodal analysis software.
