Responsibilities
- Facilitate and support Canadian media relations, both proactive or reactive, including mainstream media and endemic, as well as foster key industry and influencer relationships, relevant influencer partnerships within the Canadian market
- Track project progress, proactively identify risks or blockers, and implement solutions to ensure successful delivery
- Support the development of proactive PR plans covering consumer campaigns, news generation and product placement for Canada
- Develop and maintain a seasonal pitch calendar, develop press materials, and conduct ongoing proactive outreach to media contacts
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges, escalating non‑routine issues when appropriate
- Maintain organized project documentation, including timelines, status updates, and post-campaign recaps
- Experience in developing, with oversight, a range of PR materials (messaging documents/talking points, pitches, fact sheets, alerts, etc.)
- Maintains a clean and valid G license
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma required in Communications, Marketing, and/or Public Relations
Nice to have
- A minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience, agency preferred
Compensation
- $50,400.00 - $65,000.00 Annual CAD
- Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
