About the role
- This role requires a deep understanding of project controls, cost estimation, and regulatory compliance within the public utility sector.
- Hybrid role-three days working remotely and two days on-site (office and/or field, depending on project needs).
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, contracts, indirect costs, and allowances.
- Perform advanced analytics to support business decisions, manage project costs and schedules, and mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with various project stakeholders to gather necessary data and maintain strong working relationships.
- Lead project control assignments and functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and train junior project controls professionals to develop future talent.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost estimating and capital projects/construction, preferably within the electric utility sector.
- Experience with utility construction, California regulatory environments, and EPC estimation is highly desirable.
