- The Hartford currently has an in-house opportunity for a Senior Staff Attorney to litigate cases throughout Houston and surrounding counties.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Harris County and surrounding Counties with available transportation
- Minimum of 7+ years of civil tort matters experience
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize duties and time are a must
- Strong communication, computer and technological skills and the ability to quickly leverage new software as required
- Demonstrated expertise and familiarity in the handling of claim cases and litigation
- Core Competencies Required:
- Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from accredited law school and license to practice in Texas state and local federal courts
- Member in good standing of applicable Bar Association
- Strong legal research and writing skills

- Documented first or second chair jury trial/appellate preferred
Compensation
- The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market.
- Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
- The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees.
- Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
