About the role
- The scope will span from on-boarding to off-boarding, including employee engagement, performance management, employee relations and operations.
- This position reports to the SVP, Human Resources, who is based in El Segundo, CA, and will need to exercise significant autonomy in proactively and responsibly managing regional people matters.
Responsibilities
- As a collaborative member of the Canvas Worldwide People team, the Regional Human Resources Manager will provide generalist support to the New York, Chicago and Atlanta offices.
- Will partner with People team to develop, implement and manage policies and programs that enhance and protect the Canvas culture.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably within the media and/or marketing communications industry
- Results-oriented with proven ability to meet deadlines and timelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc. with the ability to learn new systems
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
- Strong knowledge of federal and state laws that affect HR policies and procedures, including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, disability, family leave, I-9, and other regulatory and compliance laws
- Open and collaborative, approachable communication skills and experience building strong working relationships
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively across multiple offices and teams
- A pro-active attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
- Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, project management and organizational skills
