About the role

  • The Company is focused on raising the bar on talent.
  • The Commercialization team is a matrix organization within the Company that is dedicated to creating food products that are leading the gold standard in plant-based proteins.
  • We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the team located at the Pilot Plant in El Segundo, CA as a Production Operator.

Responsibilities

  • Under Supervisor guidance, perform daily production activities and operate equipment while maintaining a safe, high-quality, high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including sweeping, gathering trash, and other janitorial duties as assigned
  • Recommend and support development and process improvements to enhance operational safety and efficiency
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Prepare workstations, gather required tools, and retrieve daily batch sheets from Lead/Supervisors

Skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing experience, especially food manufacturing experience, is preferred
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must be able to work individually in a team environment
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Warehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.
  • Must be able to occasionally climb stairs or a ladder to complete tasks.

Compensation

  • The starting hourly base pay for this role is between USD $20 and $23 per hour.
  • The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
