Responsibilities
- Provides key legal support to the Purchasing/Procurement office including review of contracts related to new business, procurement and general operations.
- Advise philanthropy operation on legal matters relating to charitable giving, sponsorship, building naming agreements or other philanthropic specific agreements;
- Draft legal documents including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
- Advises on legislative and other important legal developments that could affect MCW and its operations; performs research and drafts policies and legal documents; and provides opinions on a broad range of legal matters.
Requirements
- Minimum Required Experience: 10 years, in house counsel experience required

- Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required.
- May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
- Appropriate experience may be substituted for education an on equivalent basis.
- Minimum Required Education: Juris Doctor from accredited law school
- Preferred Experience: Academic medical center experience preferred
- Physical Requirements
- Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.
- Work Environment
- Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
- Sensory Acuity
- Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
