About the role

  • Drivers are tasked with upholding the cleanliness, both interior and exterior, of the provided company vehicle to enhance the comfort of all passengers.
  • Transport families to and from varying destinations at scheduled times in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Stay informed on traffic, construction, and weather reports regarding road conditions and adjusting driving routes as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Complete pre-drive and post-drive checklists daily.
  • Strategically plan and optimize driving routes to ensure timely and efficient trip completion.
  • Perform safety checks on car seats and booster seats.
  • Maintain interior and exterior vehicle cleanliness through booking car washes and detailing services.
  • Perform administrative duties such as mileage log sheets, walk-a-round checklists, contact notes, critical incident reports, and preparing other documentation as requested.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Driver in a professional capacity, preferably transporting the public.
  • Ability to obtain a clear driver's abstract and driving record.
  • Experience working in a Human Services position is an asset.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Indigenous Awareness Training is an asset.
  • Other Requirements
  • Acceptable attainment and annual maintenance of a Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check and an Intervention Record Check is required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
