Management and implementation of a wide variety of engineering design and consulting projects.
Coordinate and conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses, including plan reviews and site visits.
Develop fire protection strategies, performance-based design approaches, and alternative solutions to resolve client design issues.
Support business development and client relationship management efforts in the sub-region (up to 10% of role). Consultants are anticipated to support a "seller doer" mentality.
Experience in developing building code concepts and equivalencies, conducting building plan reviews, and conducting field reviews/inspections.

4+ years of experience in any of the following areas: code consulting, design of fire suppression and alarm systems, and developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (preferably Fire Protection), Architecture, or related field.
Proven project management experience.
Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies.
Ability to work well independently and to interact with other industry professionals, associated trades, and jurisdictional authorities.

Jensen Hughes is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Consultant in the Pacific Northwest, ideally near Portland, Oregon or Bellevue, Washington.
The successful applicant will have experience in fire protection and code consulting and possess strong analytical and creative thinking skills.
Registered Professional Engineer license, NICET certification, or equivalent strongly preferred.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting and not a guarantee of compensation.
National Pay Range
$105,000 - $130,000 USD
