About the role

- In this role, you will ensure the timely verification, reconciliation, and remittance of withholding taxes to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Canada Agency Revenue (CRA).

Responsibilities
- Serving as a primary point of contact for internal departments and clients, you will navigate established corporate and government guidelines to maintain flawless tax compliance.
- Update and maintain accurate tax lot reporting data within the Cost Basis system, ensuring all assigned compliance timelines are met and escalating high-risk issues appropriately.

Requirements
- actively monitor client activity to request and secure updated documentation as required.
- University degree or post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline (equivalent professional experience will be considered).

Skills
- Intermediate proficiency utilizing Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel).
- Nice to Have(s)
- Prior experience working directly within a specialized Cost Basis system or managing complex tax lot reporting.
- Familiarity with transactional processing guidelines specific to the CRA (Receiver General) and the IRS.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills paired with an active listening mindset and diplomatic interpersonal skills.
Compensation
- 50K/year - 52K/year CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only. The salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
