About the role
- Summary Assists pharmacist in the provision of pharmacy services.
- Assists in all aspects of accurately preparing prescriptions for dispensing under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Processes prescriptions via computer system, and reviews third-party payer on-line adjudication.
Requirements
- Experience Experience in outpatient pharmacy is helpful, but not required.
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is desirable, but not required.
- Handles questions pertaining to the operations of the pharmacy that do not require the professional expertise or judgment of a pharmacist.
