About the role
- We invite you to join the Hexcel team at various manufacturing sites, sales offices, and R&D centers around the globe.
- Start rate: $34.15 Per Hour during the New Hire Orientation Period - normally 90 calendar days, then increases to $35.95 Per Hour.
- Note that the workday on Grave shift is designated by the day the shift ends.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with duties commonly associated with that of a mechanic/mechanical maintenance person.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Calculates dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers.
- Must have full working set of essential mechanical tools.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Valid Driver License.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, including blueprints and technical drawings. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
