About the role
- The successful candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset, strong analytical skills, and proven accounting ability.
- Role will report directly to the Accounting Manager in Houston, Texas.
- The Houston office opened in August of 2016 under the name Gunvor USA.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly economic to accounting Profit & Loss statement reconciliations
- Validate AR/AP balances for assigned trade desks/commodities
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred
- Strong working knowledge of financial accounting
- Understanding of commodity trading business
- Self-motivated, results oriented, and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in Excel
- Ability to independently research and analyses
- discuss conclusions with senior management
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
