About the role

  • Water Management Engineer (NOC 21300)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and following up new business leads - ensuring enquiries are logged and responded to, including organizing site and client visits.
  • Conduct technical analyses of survey, field data, and construction design drawings.
  • Plan, design, and cost dewatering, unwatering, and by-pass pumping systems.
  • Develop specifications and 'dewatering plans' for dewatering, unwatering, and by-pass pumping systems,
  • Ensure designs meet any local (or other applicable) regulatory requirements related to taking and discharging water,
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients throughout the design and tender process.
  • Develop and implement strategies for following up quotations, maintaining contact with the client and tracking the progress of technical and commercial proposals.

Requirements

  • Required work experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within the construction industry in a similar role.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience related to civil engineering.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or in a related engineering discipline (ex:
  • geotechnical, water systems, hydrogeological).
  • A relentless enthusiasm and tenacity to pursue commercial opportunities.
  • A firm understanding of Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology and Civil Engineering.
  • Understanding of business development and marketing strategies.
  • Commercial awareness, ideally including knowledge of construction industry contracts.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complicated and sensitive concepts, both verbally and written, is an essential requirement.

Compensation

  • $250k-$253k
