About the role

  • In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining continuous system operation by troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and performing preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure rapid equipment return to serviceability by performing thorough in-depth troubleshooting on any non-functioning or faulted system, subsystem or component.

Responsibilities

  • As an Automation Technician II, you will maintain an automated material handling system.
  • 2-5: Possess sufficient Electrical or Mechanical aptitude to replace electrical and mechanical components of Symbotic Rovers (BOTS) and perform preventive maintenance.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree - General Studies, High School Diploma - General Studies, KPIs, Safety & Sanitiation, Training & Development, Values & Teamwork, Warranty
  • Keep Management informed of specific problems and suggested actions, including approximate time required for repairs.
  • Assist and train other automation team technicians in troubleshooting and repairs of any equipment as required, consistent with level of experience and training.
  • Environment - Warehouse: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F) Skills - Working knowledge of 480, 277, and 120 volt electrical systems (single and three phase).

Skills

  • Experience welding with stick or MIG a plus.
  • Working knowledge of 480, 277, and 120 volt electrical systems (single and three phase).
  • Experience with and working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller).
  • Experience with MS Office programs: Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently of supervisor following procedures and manuals.

  • 2-5: Hold an Associates Degree for Electro-Mechanical studies or 3-5 years equivalent experience in electro-mechanical field
