About the role
- Works under the supervision of the Imaging department leader and is responsible for assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients.
- The RN may work in a variety of settings in the Imaging Department (Riverside Diagnostic Center, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine).
Responsibilities
- Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care and ensure patient care needs are met. Able to recognize and respond to emergency situations. Evaluates own needs for support and uses identified systems to meet need.
- Partners with patients and families to develop, implement and evaluate plan of care, treatments and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the coordination care.
- The RN utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity.
- Supports call for emergent cases at a level II trauma center.
- Evaluates for patient comprehension and documents.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, HS Diploma/GED only required if Nursing Diploma Graduate (Required)
- Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
- Education
- Program Graduate, Nursing (Nursing Diploma is minimum education requirement, Associate's or Bachelor's in Nursing accepted in lieu of Nursing Diploma) (Required) and
- Experience
- Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Licensed as Registered Nurse by the state of Virginia or compact state Upon Hire(Required) and
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required) and
- ACLS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required)

Compensation
- $37k-$50k

- $36.50 - $50.23/HourlyActual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
