Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated solutions to address client, internal, and regulatory reporting needs, largely utilizing Alteryx, Python, and Power-BI.
- Design, build, and maintain automated data workflows using Alteryx to streamline recurring reporting and reduce manual effort.
- Provide internal consulting support across the business by diagnosing problems, structuring analyses, and recommending solutions that drive measurable impact.
- Interact with Investor Relations, Finance, Operations, and Portfolio Managers to understand reporting/data aggregation needs when developing customized solutions.
- Develop an expert understanding of the internal systems utilized for data entry and storage, as well as the flow of information through internal systems.
- Create visualizations for complex data models in PowerBI with the goal of simplifying understanding and reducing manual efforts for end users.
- Address ad-hoc problem-solving needs, develop creative solutions, and own end user testing and implementation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-time experience in data analytics within a finance or accounting setting, preferably at an investment firm.
- ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with diligent attention to detail.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Proficient in PowerBI development, including semantic model relationships, database queries (preferably Snowflake), writing measures in DAX, and advanced visualization techniques.
- A foundational understanding of credit funds and portfolio management.
- Demonstrated project management skills and excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with diligent attention to detail.
- Self-starter with initiative. Ability to work unsupervised.
- Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with outside parties and personnel across all levels of the firm.
- Collaborate daily with team members to brainstorm approaches, challenge assumptions, and improve deliverables through shared iteration.
- Strong ability to think outside the box to develop solutions to Frequent / Challenging / Unique ad-hoc requests to deliver the desired information, often starting from a blank slate.
- Strong analytical background utilizing PowerBI to summarize large datasets.
- Proficient writing code in Python, DAX, and SQL
- A keen interest in technology and its application in finance, with the capacity to propose and implement process improvements.
Nice to have
- A bachelor's degree in data analytics, accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- CPA or equivalent qualification a plus.
- Work toward or an interest in pursuing a CFA charter a plus.
Compensation
- Expected Annual Base Salary $100,000 - $120,000
- Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
- In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
