About the role

  • General Summary This position is responsible for testing, sampling, and inspecting construction materials or elements in a laboratory or field setting to ensure compliance with the supplier and/or owner specifications.
  • Level I technicians test, sample, or inspect one or more construction materials. * The Materials QC Technician Level I position description may be superseded by wage classification(s) in local collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment
  • Follow the requirements for materials quality outlined in the company management system (GMS) and the Construction Materials Playbook to ensure compliance and maintain high standards
  • Valid drivers license and ability to drive

Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations
