This position serves as a violence prevention project coordinator within the Injury Prevention Service and is responsible for advancing the implementation of effective and sustainable prevention strategies in support of violence prevention.
The position is responsible for capacity building, collaboration with state and community stakeholders across multiple sectors, consultation, technical assistance, program development and evaluation, information dissemination, and implementation of evidence-based prevention strategies.
Research, design, implement, coordinate, and evaluate activities to reduce suicide and violence-related morbidity and mortality that are aligned with the best available evidence.
Support the implementation and sustainability of multiple programs and prevention strategies and provide technical assistance and consultation to partners.
Identify and engage internal and external stakeholders; establish and maintain strong partnerships with public, private, tribal, and nonprofit organizations; and collaborate with partners to leverage resources for advancing statewide violence prevention efforts.
Develop and facilitate multi-disciplinary coalitions, workgroups, and committees as needed.
Develop and deliver presentations and trainings on violence prevention for public and professional audiences and conduct media interviews.
Provide subject matter expertise to partners and the public on violence prevention.

At least one year of work experience in injury prevention or conducting a community-based primary prevention program.

340 OKLAHOMA STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
The annual salary for this position is up to $60,000, based on education and experience
