Responsibilities

  • This position serves as a violence prevention project coordinator within the Injury Prevention Service and is responsible for advancing the implementation of effective and sustainable prevention strategies in support of violence prevention.
  • The position is responsible for capacity building, collaboration with state and community stakeholders across multiple sectors, consultation, technical assistance, program development and evaluation, information dissemination, and implementation of evidence-based prevention strategies.
  • Research, design, implement, coordinate, and evaluate activities to reduce suicide and violence-related morbidity and mortality that are aligned with the best available evidence.
  • Support the implementation and sustainability of multiple programs and prevention strategies and provide technical assistance and consultation to partners.
  • Identify and engage internal and external stakeholders; establish and maintain strong partnerships with public, private, tribal, and nonprofit organizations; and collaborate with partners to leverage resources for advancing statewide violence prevention efforts.
  • Develop and facilitate multi-disciplinary coalitions, workgroups, and committees as needed.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and trainings on violence prevention for public and professional audiences and conduct media interviews.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to partners and the public on violence prevention.

Nice to have

Compensation

  • up to $60,000.00, based on education and experience
