ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Extended Day Organize and develop the Extended Day program of activities for students in grades Preschool and Kindergarten in partnership with the Preschool teaching assistant.
Design a program that effectively supports students and fosters an environment aligned with Catlin Gabel's progressive pedagogical approach, emphasizing student voice, choice, and agency.
Design and maintain an engaging classroom space, carefully choosing materials and activities that are age-appropriate, open-ended and student led.
Ensure the safe operation of the program and maintain compliance with the State of Oregon Child Care Rules.
Maintain effective communication with staff, parents, students, school colleagues, facilities personnel, and the business office of the school.
