About the role

  • Overview This is a full-time position for a Medical Assistant within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, providing outpatient care to patients and supporting physicians across all clinical areas of the practice.
  • The role is responsible for assisting providers and nurses with patient examinations, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.

Requirements

  • RMA or CMA required.
  • Professional interaction skills with physicians, outside offices, pharmacies, referring agencies, hospital personnel and support staff required.

Nice to have

  • At least one (1) year of clinical experience in a fast-paced ambulatory setting is preferred.

Skills

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program and certification; RMA or CMA required.
  • Completion of BLS or other approved CPR courses required with recertification every 2 years.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and tasks required.
  • Ability to make professional decisions under the supervision of the physicians and licensed nurses required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend all information required for this position required.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts required for medication administration required.
