About the role
- Overview This is a full-time position for a Medical Assistant within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, providing outpatient care to patients and supporting physicians across all clinical areas of the practice.
- The role is responsible for assisting providers and nurses with patient examinations, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
Requirements
- RMA or CMA required.
- Professional interaction skills with physicians, outside offices, pharmacies, referring agencies, hospital personnel and support staff required.
Nice to have
- At least one (1) year of clinical experience in a fast-paced ambulatory setting is preferred.
Skills
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program and certification; RMA or CMA required.
- Completion of BLS or other approved CPR courses required with recertification every 2 years.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and tasks required.
- Ability to make professional decisions under the supervision of the physicians and licensed nurses required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to read and comprehend all information required for this position required.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts required for medication administration required.
