About the role
- Work spans backend (Java/Spring Boot), front-end (Angular), and database (MS SQL Server / Azure SQL) layers, with integration to multiple external systems and data migration from legacy sources.
- Client-facing role within a hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery model.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Develop responsive, accessible Angular front-end interfaces meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards
- Design, write, and optimize relational structures, queries, and stored procedures on MS SQL Server / Azure SQL
- Support data migration from legacy sources into the new platform, ensuring data integrity, auditability, and reconciliation
- Implement security controls: RBAC, MFA, SSO / Active Directory integration, and audit logging
- Build and deploy services on Azure
- Support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), and timely defect resolution
Skills
- Strong hands-on Java with production REST API experience using Spring Boot.
- Proficiency with Angular for production front-end development.
- Solid understanding of RESTful integration patterns and API consumption.
- Familiarity with cloud-based application deployment.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Prior public-sector, government, or regulated-industry project experience.
- Experience with legacy modernization or system-to-cloud migration.
- Experience with government or other regulated-industry cloud environments.
- Hands-on WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility implementation.
- Experience integrating with SSO, Active Directory, MFA, and RBAC.
- Experience with structured data migration and reconciliation.
- Comfort with hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery.
