About the role
- Responsible for assisting the supervisor in overseeing the production workforce to maximize production yields, provide direction to production workforce on operations, quality initiatives, food safety and equipment.
- Monitor colleagues in the course of their work and provide leadership/direction for the team.
Responsibilities
- Create production line schedules and direct the workflow of an assigned line(s) and activities of production colleagues.
- Investigate and document any compliance issues.
- Collaborate with Human Resources related to colleague development, performance management and policy compliance or other human resource related issues.
- Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Skills
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, operational, packaging or distribution environment or related industry
- Demonstrated ability to effectively mentor and train others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
- Ability to utilize Inkling, Oracle and other software platforms as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate to a wide variety of colleagues and temporary workers.
- Evidence of mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be certified to backfill required position supported by Inkling completion
- Must complete all identified leadership training modules within 1 year of accepting position
- Evidence of strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience operating powered industrial vehicles.
