About the role

  • Join one of Oregon's top fiber internet providers.
  • This position is based out of our Creswell shop and requires reporting there daily.
  • Free 1 Gig high speed fiber internet service if you live within our service territory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of employees assigned to you on the outside plant team, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for projects assigned to your team.
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors and contractors to ensure that all work is completed to the company's satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the outside plant team.
  • Safely operate and maintain company vehicles.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing company policies and procedures and adhering to legal requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of outside plant design principles, including fiber optic networks, transmission poles, conduits, and other infrastructure.
  • At the request of the director, meet with customers, business owners, stakeholders, and state and local government personnel to discuss planning and building of the fiber network as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in outside plant construction required, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Proficiency in Office 365
  • Degree in construction management or a related field preferred but not required.

Skills

  • use of PC and other industry specific applications necessary to complete job functions; Proficiency in Office 365
  • Knowledge in the following programs is preferred: GIS systems & NISC
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Able to meet physical demands with reasonable accommodation if necessary.
  • This position is considered medium physical work.
