About the role

This is a working leadership role for a builder.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and practical.
This leader will serve as the agency's primary authority on training, onboarding, retraining, field development, and training accountability.

This position requires regular interaction with officers, supervisors, managers, and executive leadership and may require travel between sites to assess performance, reinforce training, and support operational needs.
The Director of Training and Development will not simply manage scheduled trainings.
This leader will be responsible for creating the training structure, developing systems, improving onboarding, increasing field preparedness, driving accountability, supporting compliance, and helping the agency establish a stronger culture of readiness, development, and operational excellence.
Essential Purpose of the Role The purpose of this position is to create and lead a training and development division that supports the agency's growth, improves service quality, strengthens officer confidence, and ensures consistency across all sites, contracts, and personnel assignments.
The Director of Training and Development plays a critical role in building the structure, readiness, and performance culture necessary for the agency to grow with strength, integrity, and consistency.

They must be able to develop training systems, create curriculum, organize documentation, coach staff, support supervisors, and step into the field when necessary to assess performance gaps and strengthen execution.

$80,000 annually Position Summary The Director of Training and Development is responsible for building, leading, and executing the agency's full training and development function across all areas of operations.
