About the role

  • TMO Dispatcher s may be asked to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • About the Mount Sinai TMO: The Mount Sinai Hospital Transportation Management Office works 24 hours a day, every day of the year to bring patients to and from needed medical care.

Responsibilities

  • Billing Support: Collect patient billing information and ensure accurate documentation of prebilling activities
  • Team Support: Act as a resource for colleagues and assist with operational needs

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned.

Nice to have

  • NIMS IS 100, 200, 700, 800 (must be willing to obtain, if hired)
  • Transportation dispatch experience preferred (EMS dispatch preferred)
  • Strong geographical knowledge of service areas
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Proficiency in typing (40-45 WPM) and data entry
  • Familiarity with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software

Compensation

  • $20k-$25k
